Reservations
and Payments
Reservations are made by calling (252) 441-2489, or
emailing info@pelicancottages.com,
to verify the availability of the cottage you have chosen. To reserve your
cottage, deposits can be mailed to: Pelican Cottages, P.O. Box 37, Nags
Head, NC 27959. Once the reservation is made, you will have 7 days to
forward your 50% advance rent payment to us. Personal checks or money
orders are accepted.
Make checks payable to Pelican Cottages. There will be a
$25.00 service fee for all returned checks. If we do not receive your
payment within this timeframe, your reservation is subject to cancellation
without notice. Upon receipt of your payment, a confirmation notice will be
sent via postal or email to you.
Your final payment will be due 30 days before your
arrival. All payments must be made prior to arrival. In the event a reservation
is made within 30 days of check-in; the full payment will be due at the
time of the booking.

Family
Groups
Pelican Cottages rents to family groups only. Anyone
misrepresenting themselves as such will be asked to leave without
refund.

YMCA
Amenities Package
The Pelican Cottages offer full access to the new Outer Banks YMCA at no
extra charge. This outstanding facility is located on US 158 in Nags Head
at the 11.2 milepost, less than a mile away. Your entire family will have
unlimited access to the YMCA, including the outdoor pool and skateboard
park. You will find a YMCA key-card (your pass) with your cottage
keys upon check-in. A full description of YMCA facilities is

Capacity
Each cottage states the number of persons allowed. If the advertised
occupancy is exceeded, we reserve the right to deny access or to have the
premises vacated with no refund.

Telephones
Telephones are provided in our units. The telephone number of your cottage
will be listed in the separate rental information that you will receive
upon confirmation. All local calls are free. All long distance calls must
be charged to your credit card, prepaid phone card, or collect.

Vehicles
Parking is limited to 2 cars per cottage. Campers and RVs are not accepted.
Parking is limited so please make arrangements for this
restriction.

Bicycles
We have direct access to the newly completed Nags Head multi-use path.
Bring your own bicycles. Be sure to bring your helmets because North
Carolina state law requires wearing them.

You
Need to Bring:
Bed linens, bed, bath, kitchen, and beach towels. Paper products, trash
bags, dishwashing detergent, soaps, and beach equipment. All rental properties
are equipped and furnished for normal housekeeping. Kitchens are equipped
with cookware, dinnerware, glassware, and flatware, as well as coffee
maker, toaster and microwave. Beds have pillows, mattress pads, and
bedspreads. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE BEDSPREADS OR BLANKETS TO THE BEACH!!!
Please try to refrain from rearranging the furniture. If by chance you do
move something, please put it back before you leave.

Check-In/Check-Out
Check-in time is at 4:00 p.m. A key box is located beside the doorframe of
each cottage. In that key box, you will find the key to your cottage.
Please use a key to let yourself into the cottage.
Check out time is 11:00 am the date of your departure.
Upon check out, please return the key to the key box. Be certain the
YMCA key-card is left with the keys! We also ask that you leave the cottage
in the general condition that you found it. Please empty the refrigerator
and take out the trash. (Be
sure the key is in the box w/YMCA key-card)
Our check-in/check-out procedure is designed for the
convenience of our guests. The time between 11:00 am and 4:00 p.m. is
reserved for cleaning. Please respect these times to allow our cleaners
time to do their job.

Cancellation
Policy
Once your reservation is confirmed by payment, you must notify us in
writing if you are unable to occupy the unit. The guest is responsible for
verifying that we have received the cancellation letter. Refunds are
available, less a $100 service charge, only if the cottage is re-rented. If
we are unable to re-rent the property, all payments will be forfeited.
Refunds will be made to the guest within 30 days after the subsequent
re-rent payment has cleared our accounts.
Guests shall not be entitled to any refund or rebate due
to illness, acts of nature, unfavorable weather, disruption of utility
services, or any other situation occurring not under our control. Trip
cancellation insurance is highly recommended to protect against unexpected
events.
Any travel agent can recommend a source for purchasing trip
interruption insurance. If you need help in finding a company to contact,
please notify us. Pelican Cottages will not give refunds or other
compensation due to any of the above listed conditions.
